Welcome Back!
I hope you all had a restful break! My week was full of Easter, Birthdays, Shopping, Gymnastics, and Soccer!
Volunteers Needed
We are excited to be able to hold Field Day this year! Field day has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 1st, with a rain date of Friday, June 3rd. Field day will be a half day and a small committee made up of our wellness teachers and teachers are currently in the planning stages to make the day as special as possible. We will need approximately 25-30 volunteers for the morning. If you are at all interested in volunteering for field day, you will need to fill out a CORI form no later than May 2nd in the front office between the hours of 10 AM-2 PM.
To sign up as a volunteer, please complete this Google form no later than May 2nd. Our volunteer coordinator, Mrs. Mandile, will be in touch with volunteers prior to field day.

Friendly Reminders:
Orange Folders
Please check your child's folder at the end of each day and take any papers out that do not need to be returned to school.
Also, please send your child's folder to school each morning. This is encouraging routines and responsibility that will be expected in First Grade!
Water
Please send your child to school with a water bottle each day. We have an extra supply for the occasional forget or emergency. We cannot provide your child with a water each day. As the weather gets warmer, it is going to become more and more important to ensure they are drinking throughout the day.
Thank you so much for the generous water donations!
Food
Several students in the class have also been commenting on how hungry they are after eating all of their snack and lunch. We try to have a supply of snacks for the occasional forget and emergency, but we cannot continually give out snacks because the children are still hungry. Please simply pack one or two extra things in lunchbox's so that there is an option for the children if they are still hungry. Also, please make sure your children LIKE what they are expected to eat. We hear quite often that they do not like what was packed.
