This week will be all about Turkeys!
We will make turkeys out of pattern blocks, sort what they eat for dinner, and make a counting book of turkeys. We will make turkeys out of our hands and feet, make disguises for the turkeys, and paint turkeys. We will make turkeys out of shapes, put turkeys in number order, and race turkeys. We will also rhyme with turkeys!
Harvest Hustle
On Wednesday, we will participating in the Harvest Hustle.
[On Wednesday, November 17th from 9:45-10:15 and 10:20-10:50, the Robinson PTO will be conducting the “Robinson PTO Harvest Hustle.” Students will participate by walking, jogging, or making their way around a designated area for thirty minutes. The Harvest Hustle provides for an exciting day filled with community- building activities that have proven to be a big success with students and staff in prior years.
The purpose of the Harvest Hustle will be to raise funds for our school. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Robinson PTO to support our efforts. This event has provided the school with: musical instruments and stenciling for the playground, PTO mini-grants for staff, field day for students with a DJ, new community reader books, indoor recess games, and other special events over the years.
Our school’s goal is to raise $6,000. You can help us to reach this goal by making a suggested donation of $50.00 per child. Tax-deductible donations can be in the form of a check, cash, or online donation. Credit card donations can be made via PayPal at http://westford.org/robifullipto/]
Please dress your children to be outside and active for an hour in the morning.

Volunteering
I hope to have a volunteer schedule out for you after the Christmas Break.
Writing
We are continuing to work on writing our own stories with pictures and words. It is really hard for children to take the risk of writing words by listening to the sounds that they hear. Your children are slowly getting comfortable with taking risks and just writing.
This year, I spend a lot of time with reinforcing "Kindergarten Spelling." Spelling does not have to be like the "Dictionary Man". We just need to be able to hear the sounds in the word.
Handwriting
We are moving quickly through our Capital Letters. I am so proud of how hard the kids have been working to form their letters beautifully.
Here is a fun song we have been using to remember where we start writing all of our letters! Where do you start your letters?
Phonics
We will continue to practice rhyming and syllables this week.
We LOVE this syllables video from Scratch Garden!
Lively Letters
Power Words
Last week we practiced the power word I.
Math
Pattern Block Graphing
Ten Bean Spill
and
Rope Shapes
are on our list of things to do this week!
Science
Continuing our discussion of the Weather this week. We will think about How people stay cool in hot weather as well as what makes storms?
Social Studies
Finishing up our conversations about Classroom Citizenship. We will think about how people help others and what we can do. We will also talk about the consequences of not being responsible.
